Workshops
are conducted regularly in metropolitan and rural areas. The association
now has a trained team of experts who will provide inservicing for
primary and secondary teachers either as a whole staff or as individuals.
Check 'News' for upcoming workshops.
A
helpline is available to teachers who need advice or support or who
wish to visit another school to see colleagues in action.
We have recently set up a mailing list to provide a forum for teachers
to discuss matters arising from their teaching of Philosophy.
These
are held once each term to strengthen the community of Philosophy
teachers.
Meetings may include
-
adult
discussions of philosophical issues
-
forums
in which teaching experiences and strategies are shared
-
-
workshops
to develop discussion plans
These
meetings are informal and are held at various schools in the association.
Meetings are usually advertised on the News page of this site
Please
contact EducationOfficer@vaps.vic.edu.au
for further information on Network Meetings, or if you would like
